About Us

Jean Cowell

Jean L. Cowell, P.E., S.E., LEED Green Associate

Jean’s natural desire for learning makes her the go-to engineer in the office for the math-intensive problems like interpreting the nuances of the seismic code, implementing blast design requirements and solving other esoteric calculus problems.  Jean holds a B.A. in physics from Grinnell College, a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Structural Engineering both from Washington University in St. Louis.  She is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in Missouri, a licensed Structural Engineer (SE) in Illinois and holds licenses in a number of other states.  Jean was a member of the Forest Park Master Plan Executive Committee which approved the Forest Park Master Plan in 1995.  She served for twenty years as a member of the Forest Park Advisory Board, overseeing the implementation of the Master Plan.


David L. Cowell, P.E., LEED Green Associate

David’s deliberative approach to engineering gives him the energy to work through long and sometimes difficult structural challenges.  He guides our clients through the design process to achieve workable economical structural solutions.  David holds B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri, Rolla.  He was elected to the University of Missouri Civil Engineering Academy of Distinguished Alumni in 2009.  He is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in Missouri and a number of other states.  David is a member of Rotary Club 11, Downtown St. Louis. He has served as Sergeant at Arms, and on various committees including Community Service and Fundraising.
